It all started with a dog.

Our Winston entered the world in early 2022. He was a sweet boy who loved pup cups, running at the park, whipped cream, and anything with a squeaker.

However, his world was anything but peaceful. Prior to joining our family, Winston had experienced cruelty at the hands of backyard breeders in Southern Oklahoma. After this, he was adopted by a family who had to return him to the shelter due to unjust breed restrictions in their new apartment and a lack of resources to live in a more pet-friendly place.

Due to this, he was plagued with crippling anxiety that caused him to unpredictably lash out at unexpected times. After working tirelessly with dog behaviorists, veterinarians, trainers, and community members; Winston was forced to leave this world much to young.

We miss him every single day, and in his memory, Winston’s Place was born in order to provide a refuge for animals in need and to support pet owners in the pursuit to keep their families whole.

This one is for you sweet Win, we love you always,
